Varnard Verl Barber beloved husband of 73 years to Alva Cleadus (nee Tomlinson) Barber; loving father of Carolyn (Harvey) Spurlock, Verla Bolding, Jerry (Marcia) Barber, Rhonda (Kevin) Laws, and Donna (Alan) Huber; dear grandfather of Cynthia, Amy, Lora, Eric, Joseph, Christopher, and Elizabeth; great grandfather of Sarah, Shane, Tyler, Abbey, Louis, George, Carter, Sophia, and Braxton; brother of Orville, Johnnie, and Coy Barber. Went home to be with the Lord on Monday October 19, 2015. Age 93. Residence Milford. Born in Pulaski County, KY, Mr. Barber was a WWII combat veteran in the US Army and was awarded the Purple Heart and numerous campaign medals. Verl was a 30 year employee of General Electric and a member of First Baptist Church of Milford. Friends may call Thursday October 22nd from 10 AM until time of Funeral service at 11 AM at the First Baptist Church of Milford, 1367 Woodville Pike, Milford, OH 45150.
