Vera Agnes Callahan

Vera Agnes Callahan, age 73, of Batavia, died Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at the Mercy Anderson Hospital in Anderson Township. She was born October 1, 1942 in Cincinnati the daughter of Charles Ferrius and Helen Victoria Ebaugh Simons. She was a homemaker and a caregiver over the years to great nieces and nephews, Michael, Katie, Justin, Shayna, Drew and Alison. She is survived by her husband, Richard L. Callahan, brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Sandy Simons, sister-in-law, Alfreida Simons, brother-in-law, Jerry Blanchard, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her sons; Mark and Michael Callahan, sisters; Marilyn Simons, Cathy Blanchard, Dolores McClanahan, half sister and spouse; Alice and Slim Mell, brothers and spouse; Harry and Donna Simons and Charles Simons. Services will be 11:00AM Monday December 21, 2015 at the Evans Funeral Home, 1944 St. Rt. 28 in Goshen 45122. Reverend Michael Cordier will conduct the Funeral Liturgy and Rite of Committal. Burial will take place at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Anderson Township. Family and friends may visit 5:00 to 7:00PM, Sunday, December 20, 2015 at the Evans Funeral Home in Goshen.
