Obituary

Violet Ruth Siler, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully passed away on April 16, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on July 10, 1933, in Claiborne County, Tennessee, Ruth led a life filled with love, warmth, and unwavering faith. She was a devoted homemaker, enriching the lives of her family and friends with her kind heart and gentle spirit.

Ruth was married for 54 years to her cherished husband, Donald Siler, who preceded her in death. Together they built a beautiful family, and Ruth leaves behind her children: Tim Siler, Susan (Shawn) McGee, Brian (Cara) Siler, and Mike (Ruth) Siler. She was a proud grandmother to Tim Siler Jr., Gabriella Ragonesi, Alexandra Ragonesi, Michael Siler, Malcolm Siler, and Savannah Siler. Additionally, Ruth cherished her six great-grandchildren and her brother, Hobart Partin of Williamsburg, Kentucky.

Ruth was known as "Miss Ruthie" to over 60 children during her 20 years as a daycare provider, a testament to her nurturing nature and enduring patience. She never met a stranger and embraced everyone with open arms. Ruth enjoyed taking long walks, reading the Bible, and spreading the love of Jesus to all she encountered.

In addition to Donald, she is preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Vestney Partin, and her ten siblings, who have welcomed her with open arms into eternal rest.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Evans Funeral Home in Milford (741 Center Street). A time to share memories and celebrate Ruth's remarkable life will follow from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM. The funeral service will then take place at 2:00 PM in the cemetery chapel at Graceland Memorial Gardens, where Ruth will be laid to rest.

In honoring her life, Ruth's family invites all who knew and loved her to join in remembrance, reflecting on the joy she brought to so many. She will be profoundly missed but will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her.
