Virginia "Ginny" Ruth Baker

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Virginia R. Baker (Jessee).

Ginny was born on March 4, 1930, to the late Charles and Parazetta (nee Sowder) Jessee, in Lancaster, KY.

Ginny was the beloved wife of 63 years to Steve Baker; Loving mother of Doug Baker and Wayne Baker (Debbie Grant); Cherished grandmother of Scott (Chrissy) Baker, Robbie (Jessica) Baker, Lisa (Todd) Hendrixson, and Kelli Baker; Great-grandmother of Hayley, Paige, Avery, Abby, and Emily; Dear sister of Virgil (Pat) Jessee; Aunt of Todd and Mike Jessee.

Ginny was a loving, caring, and family-oriented woman. She knew how to brighten up a room and you could tell the moment she had an opinion about something. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and often took them to church and out to eat. Ginny also enjoyed traveling and would take trips with her family to Florida and Gatlinburg. Ginny had the voice of an angel and loved to sing in church and even sang on 700WLW. She was a member of a gospel quartet named the Owensville Gospel Crusaders. Ginny will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Ginny passed away on April 14, 2024, at the age of 94. Resident of Milford, OH. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Mt. Carmel Christian Church - 4110 Bach Buxton Rd, Batavia, OH 45103. Funeral Service will immediately follow beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow the services at Graceland Memorial Garden - 5989 Deerfield Rd, Milford, OH 45150. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Ginny's name to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (Link below).
