Virginia Lee Komo

Virginia Lee Komo, a beloved mother, grandmother, and devoted member of her community, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025, at the age of 93. Born in Williamsburg, Ohio, on October 22, 1931, to the late Homer and Merle (nee Hancock) Johnson.

Virginia will be fondly remembered for her sweet and loving spirit. She was married to Eldon Hauck for 39 wonderful years, raising eight wonderful children together. After Eldon passed in 1987, Virginia lived as a widow for 21 years and soon met Neal Komo through their church community; they shared 13 years of marriage filled with love and companionship.

A devoted Christian, Virginia was deeply active in her church, where she taught sunday school and sang in the choir for over 60 years. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, reflected in her daily Bible study and her unwavering commitment to her beliefs.

Whether she was gardening and tending to her beloved flowers or sharing her passion for sewing, Virginia found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter.

Virginia is survived by her loving children Stephen (Jan) Hauck, Richard (Marji) Hauck, Charles (Vicky) Hauck, Nancy (Richard) Back, Andrew Hauck, Ann Ashbrook and her step-daughter Amy Heis; Cherished grandmother of 16; Great-grandmother of 19 and great-great grandmother of 5. Along with her parents, and husbands, Virginia is preceded in death by two sons; Dennis Hauck and Jerry Hauck and her step-daughter Kathy Komo.

Funeral services in honor of Virginia will be held on February 3, 2025, at the First Baptist Church of Milford. A visitation will take place from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the service at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Williamsburg Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate the incredible life of Virginia, whose spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
