Virginia Ann Marquett

Virginia Ann Cook Marquett, a beloved teacher, community member, and world traveler, passed away peacefully at the age of 101 on November 26, 2024, At Hospice of Cincinnati, Blue Ash, Ohio, surrounded by family. Born on September 30, 1923, in Cincinnati, she lived a life full of purpose and passion. She was the cherished wife of the late Paul Timm Marquett, whom she married on December 16, 1944.

For 31 years, Virginia dedicated herself to shaping the minds of students at Milford Schools, leaving a lasting impact on countless young lives. Her commitment to education extended beyond the classroom and into her vibrant involvement with the Terrace Park Historical Society, the Milford Historical Society, and the Terrace Park Alumni Association.

As a member of the Withamsville Church of Christ for over 30 years, Virginia found community and fellowship that nourished her spirit. She had a zest for life and exploration, making her a true world traveler who cherished every experience. She considered her church family to truly be family.

Virginia is preceded in death by her parents Matthew & Edith Cook, Husband Paul Timm Marquett and daughter Carol Ann Glover. She is survived by Son - in law Durant Glover, granddaughter Kathryn (David Lee) Glover, great grand children Kyra Patenaude, Kinsley Glover, Makynna Lee and Madisyn Lee, dear cousin / caregiver Rosemary Chandler, special friend Vera Hodges and a host of friends and loved ones who will miss her warmth, kindness, and endless stories.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Virginia's life at the Withamsville Church of Christ. A visitation will be held on November 30, 2024, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. After the service, she will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Cemetery Milford.

In this time of remembrance, we honor a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many and leaves behind a legacy of love and learning.
