Vivian "Vickie" Rae Fairchild (O'Connell)
Vickie R. Fairchild, beloved wife, sister, and friend passed away on June 12, 2026, surrounded by love in (Winchester, Ohio). Vickie was born on January 15, 1953, and she graced this world with her sweet spirit, deep compassion and unwavering devotion to her family.
Her life was devoted to nurturing relationships, helping when and where she could and
caring for her precious puppies. She is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, James E. Fairchild, two brothers, Michael B. (Toni) O'Connell, Thomas E. (Shelley) O'Connell, three nieces, Krystal Spahr, Hillary O'Connell, Holly O'Connell, and one nephew, TJ O'Connell, many first, second, and third cousins, and close friends. Vickie was preceded in death by her Father, Raymond O'Connell who passed in 1976, and her mother Elizabeth (Betty) M. O'Connell who passed away in 2000, her nephew Michael B.O'Connell in 2005, and her niece Cheri O'Connell. Vickie shared countless memories with so many, and they will echo fondly in their hearts.
Vickie had a never-ending love for animals. She was known for her work at the Clermont County Animal Shelter, where her passion and hard work was recognized and she rose too the position of Administrator. Vickie and James owned and operated Marjon Kennels in Batavia, Ohio for more than 20 years, staying active in animal rescue and supporting many causes past their retirement in 2024.
There will be no funeral service, and Vickie will be laid to rest in the family cemetery owned by her and her husband near West Liberty, Kentucky.
As we remember Vickie, let us hold dear the memories of her laughter, her generous heart, and her unwavering commitment to family. In her honor, may we all continue to cherish those we love, find JOY in the simple moments, and carry forward her legacy of love, kindness, and joy. She will be deeply missed but will forever remain in our hearts.
