Walter Andrew Knapp

Walter "Wally" Andrew Knapp, 74, passed away 2 June 2018 surrounded by family. Beloved husband of 53 years to Joanne (Erickson) Knapp; loving father of Matthew Knapp, Graceanne Knapp and Eric Knapp; Grandpa of Craig Steele, Ian Steele, Alexander Knapp, Daniel Knapp and Cora Knapp; Great Grandpa to Clara Steele; dear brother of Helen Knapp Mooney, Shelby Knapp Winterringer and Ernest Knapp. Preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Helen (Packard) Knapp; and siblings, Flossie Knapp Beck, Earl Knapp and Albert Knapp.
Born and raised in Chicago, Wally attended University of Illinois and Illinois Institute of Technology.

The family moved to Milford, Ohio where Wally worked for Cincinnati Milacron in robotic engineering and later at Makino as an aerospace project engineer. His interests included woodworking, board games, sports especially fantasy football, and nature photography.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 5849 Buckwheat Road, Milford, OH 45150, where a private family service will be held.
