Walter Lee Morgan, 92 of Milford, OH. formerly of Parkersburg passed away June 13, 2026.
He was born in Parkersburg October 23, 1933 the son of the late Hans O. and Agatha V. Pfalzgraf Morgan.
He was a graduate of Parkerburg High School and was a proud member of the Big Red Band where he played the French Horn. After high school he attended and graduated from Marietta College with a Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering. He worked for many years for Kaiser Aluminum and Kem Gas before his retirement. Walter was a longtime faithful member of the Camden Avenue Church of Christ where he served as an Elder for several decades. He had an excellent voice and loved singing gospel music with the Treblemakers Acapella Group. Walter was an avid West Virginia Mountaineer Fan and loved the outdoors, camping and his "happy place" was spending time at his property in Wirt county.
He is survived by his daughters, Cheryl Turner (Anthony) of Milford, OH. and Brenda Hargett of Freeport, WV. His grandchildren, Phillip, Joseph, Benjamin, Matthew, Samuel and Ruthanne. His great grandchilddren, Nicholas, Noah, Kayley, William, Beckett, Evelyn, Arthur and Milo. His sisters, Ruth Conrad and Sharon West (Burl) of Rockport, WV. and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Merilee Ruth Morgan in 2024; His daughter, Debra Sue Morgan; His son in law, Ronald "Gary" Hargett and his brother in law, Clifford Conrad.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:00pm at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with Gary Herridge officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:30am until service time at 2:00pm.
