Wanda E. Shannon

Wanda Ellen (Runyan) Shannon. Born in Centerville (near Mt. Orab, Ohio), August 23, 1936. Parents, Elva (Balser) and Ralph Runyan. Sister, Doris, 16 years older than Wanda. Their father died when Wanda was only 18 months old. When Doris married Hamer McKenzie, he became her father-figure. Wanda and Elva moved to Williamsburg in 1945. In 1947, Elva re-married (Horace White). Wanda graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1954. Later that year, she married Charles William "Bill" Shannon. They had two children, Terri Lynn and Charles "Chuck" William Jr. Eventually the family moved to Milford, Ohio. Wanda leaves behind her husband of 70 years, Bill and children, Terri and Gary Bowsher, Charles "Chuck" William Jr. and Christa; four grandchildren, Jody Darrell Shannon and Ashley, Stephanie Ballinger, Stacey and Chris Land, Tracey Shannon and Carl Kearney, two great-grandchildren, Madison Ballinger and Blake Inlow; her sister's children, Roger and Rita McKenzie, and many other family and friends.

Family will receive friends at Evans Funeral Home in Milford, on Wednesday, January 29th from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
