Willard Ray Turpin

December 28, 1949 — December 12, 2021

Willard Ray Turpin was born December 28, 1949 passed away December 12, 2021 at the age of 71 in Milford, Ohio. Ray spent his childhood in the City of Cincinnati along with his brother Roy and sister Sue, where he attended Taft High School and was elected the 1968 Senior Class President.

As a child Ray loved baseball and cars and had a dream of becoming a major league baseball player. While his softball career may have been legendary, he did not quite make major league status however he did fulfill all his automotive dreams. Owning countless cars in his life including a 1965 red Mustang convertible that he took to many car shows and proudly displayed his trophies. You would often find Ray and his dog Rufus at a local car show or weekend drive-in showing off his latest car but more times than not he was going to be in his Furious Fuchsia Dodge Challenger.

Ray retired from the post office where he was a letter carrier and union steward. He loved to tell the story of delivering mail during the Cincinnati blizzard of 1978 where he had icicles hanging from his nose as he struggled through a number of inches of snow that grew every time he told the story.

Ray is survived by his sons Michael Turpin and wife Karen and Kevin Turpin and wife Lisa, grandchildren and multiple great grandchildren.
