It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William Roscoe Davis, a loving father, devoted grandfather, and cherished friend, who left us on the day before his 91st birthday, May 31, 2026, in his home in Milford, Ohio. Born on June 1, 1935, in Paintsville, Kentucky, Bill, as he was affectionately known, lived a life marked by hard work and dedication.A proud veteran, Bill served in the United States Army from August 4, 1954, until August 2, 1957, where he achieved the rank of Specialist Third Class (Sp3). His experiences during those formative years shaped the values he carried throughout his life-integrity, loyalty, and a commitment to serving others. After returning from his service, Bill found his passion in the automotive industry, ultimately retiring as a skilled auto body technician. He was known for his meticulous craftsmanship and the pride he took in restoring vehicles to pristine condition, a reflection of his own approach to life-always striving for excellence.Bill was the last surviving sibling in his family, a testament to a lineage filled with stories and memories that he shared with his daughters, Diana (Gary) Conley, Pamela Davis, and Beverly (David) Hensley. He cherished the time spent with his grandchildren-Erin, Joshua, and Kyle-and found immense joy in his great-grandchildren, Gaige, Lela, Kara, Kaliah, Madalynn, and Lucus, who brought light and laughter into his life. William was preceded in death by: his parents Clarence and Lydia Davis, devoted wife Lela Davis, brothers Loren, Robert, and Paul Davis, and sisters Marie Schaeff, Frieda Castle, Daryl Faye Davis, and Glenie Imogene Davis. As we prepare to celebrate Bill's extraordinary journey and the legacy he leaves behind, we invite friends and family to join us for a visitation at Evans Funeral Home in Goshen on June 3, 2026, from 6_8 PM. It will be an evening of remembrance, where stories will be shared, and the impact of Bill's life will be honored by those who were fortunate enough to know him.Bill will be laid to rest in the Roscoe Davis Cemetery (Davis Branch Rd), Paintsville, Ky on Friday, June 5, 2026 at Noon, This reflects the love and respect he earned in his life. He will be missed dearly, but through the memories carried in our hearts, his spirit will remain with us forever. In this time of sorrow, we take solace in the knowledge that Bill has left behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion that will continue to inspire future generations. Rest in peace, dear Bill. Your journey may have come to an end, but your memories will live on in those who loved you.
