William R. Hummel

William R. Hummel age 85, of Fayetteville, passed away March 11, 2019 at his daughter's residence in Fayetteville. He was born August 14, 1933 in Cheviot, the son of Carl and Loraine (nee Heisel) Hummel. William is a Veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and retired from residential construction work. His wife, Lena preceded him in death on May 6, 2014, as well as his son, Mark Hummel, who lived in California and a brother, Rodger Hummel. He is survived by his daughters; Connie Helmers, Lynn Hummel, grandchildren Emma, Justin, Nick, Charlene, great grandchildren; Caiden, sister-in-law Margaret Hummel and many grandchildren & great-grandchildren living in California. Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, March 15, 2019 at the Newtonsville United Methodist Church, 518 Liberty St. Newtonsville, Oh 45158, with visitation from 1:00 until the time of service at the church. Rev. Kalamba Kilumba will officiate. Burial will follow in the Plainview Cemetery in Wayne Township with military honors provided by Southwest Ohio VFW Memorial Team. His family requests memorials to the Newtonsville United Meothdist Church.
