William "Bill" McNamara passed away suddenly on June 9, 2026.
Bill was born on April 28, 1956, in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he spent his childhood and much of his adult life. Proud of his Cincinnati roots, he later retired to Wesley Chapel, Florida.
Bill proudly served as part of the Milford Community Fire Department for 25 years. His dedication, courage, and commitment to helping others reflected the kind of man he was and the values he carried throughout his life.
Known for his adventurous spirit, Bill loved to travel and spend time with his family. He had a gift for making people laugh, whether through his jokes, singing, dancing, or playful chaos. He was always up for an adventure and was the kind of person who was only ever a phone call away when someone needed him.
Bill's determination and strong will carried him through life with purpose and passion. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, service, and unforgettable memories shared with family and friends.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Ping McNamara; his son, Joseph McNamara, daughter-in-law, Bobbie Jo McNamara; his grandchildren, Hailey Mitchell, John McNamara, and Derrick Mitchell; and his great-granddaughter, Adalyn Mitchell.
He is also survived by his sisters, Mary McNamara and Deborah Britt;brother Joseph McNamara Jr; his sister-in-laws, Rong Wang and Cheryl McNamara; his brother-in-law, David Holtzapple; and many nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Helen McNamara; his father, Joseph McNamara; his sister, Helen McNamara; and his brothers,Tom McNamara and John McNamara.
Bill will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his humor, generosity, strength, and unwavering love for his family will live on in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.
Visitation to honor Bill will take place on Friday, June 19, 2026 from 5-7PM in the John H. Evans Funeral Home, Milford. Services will be on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 10:00AM in the Funeral Home. Burial to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
