William Arthur "Bill" Moore, a beloved husband, father, and cherished member of the Blanchester community, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2026, just shy of his 86th birthday. Born on September 27, 1940, to Otto and Nellie (nee Barnette) Moore. Bill graduated from Batavia High School and joined the Unites States Army during the Vietnam Era. After returning to the States, he dedicated much of his life to the joy of family and the thrill of adventure.
After marrying the love of his life, JoAnn, on January 23, 2004. Bill soon embraced his role as a close family man, creating a warm and loving environment filled with laughter and cherished memories. Together, they raised their blended family of children; Barbie (Terry) Davis, Tammy (the late Jon) Cochran, Bill (Sarah) White, the late Gloria (late Terry) Combs, the late Roy (Becky Tedrick) White, Jennifer Moore-Binion, grandchildren; James, Billy, Thomas, Matt, Denzel, Steven, Tiffany, Cierra, Zach, Brandon, Makenzie, Teresa and 16 great grandchildren. All who continues to embody the values and spirit that Bill instilled in his family.
Bill is also survived by his sisters; Mildred "Millie" Ellis, Minnie Linkous, Mary Dietz, stepbrothers; Harold, Timothy and Jackie Bowman. Including his parents he was preceded in death by brothers; Charles and Henry Moore and sister; Carrie Perkins-
In his earlier years, William was known for his adventurous spirit, often drag racing cars with a close-knit group of friends, celebrating the rush of speed and camaraderie. His love for the local lakes became a defining aspect of his life, where he spent countless hours working on boat motors and enjoying the serenity of the water.
William's legacy will forever be remembered through the stories shared by friends and family. As we gather to celebrate his incredible life, we invite all who knew him to join us in honoring his memory.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 21, 2026, at Noon st the Evans Funeral Home, 1944 State Route 28, Goshen 45122. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM. Reverend Bryan Coleman will officiant. His spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and we look forward to coming together to celebrate the remarkable life of Bill Moore.
