William Richard Oligee

William R. Oligee, beloved husband of Janet Snider Oligee for 75 years and loving father of Wm. Dean (Brenda Droege) Oligee and the late Douglas E. Oligee. Grandfather of five and great grandfather of eight. Also survived by his sister Doris Cooper. Died August 29, 2024 at the age of 98. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944-46. He was the oldest living retired employee of the Cincinnati Police Department where he served for 25 years as a law officer. He went on for the next 24 years at P & G and Toyota. He sang in the Scottish Rite Choir for over 35 years and was a volunteer at the Syrian Shrine Children's Hospital for many years. He received the Meritorious Service Award in 2010 from the Valley of Cincinnati. He was a 32 deg. Mason of the Norwood Lodge. He was also a volunteer at the Greenacres Education Foundation in Indian Hill for many years and a member of the ohio Valley Antique Machinery Club.
