William Michael “Mike”Singleton was born on January 6, 1950, to Bill and Vivian “Gay” Singleton in Milford, Ohio. He grew up in Milford with his siblings Linda Willis, Bruce Singleton, Cindy Miller, and Tami Adams. He loved music, playing in his band, racing his GTO, being in the TO fraternity, and hanging with his best friends, Jay and Ed. He was a paratrooper in the United States Army for 3 years. After the Army, he had a long and outstanding career as an entrepreneur in Bradenton, Florida, where built “Bayside Market” from a roadside stand to an indoor produce and seafood grocery store. Mike developed a loyal customer base because of his friendly demeanor, impeccable customer service, and positive personality. Florida was home for most of his life and his happy place. He loved the sunshine, fishing, and the Buccaneers. Later in life, he had a successful career in sales, and he was always a favorite with his coworkers and bosses. Everyone loved Mike! He was married to the love of his life Diane (Wilkerson) Singleton for 38 years. Their relationship was full of so much love and they were truly soulmates. He was so proud of his family. He leaves behind two daughters, Nicole Singleton (Travis) & Alison Singleton Doner (Joe), and one son Scott Bray (Casie), 11 grandchildren Meagan, Chloe, Kori, Cameron, Kanan, Casey, Cody, Kayson, Dylan, Aiden, & Greg, 4 great grandchildren, Elliana, Aria, Riley, & Miles, his beloved dog Sadie, and many cousins, nieces & nephews, and friends. Mike had the best hair, most beautiful smile, and wore a signature fragrance that will always remind us of him. He was incredibly kind, warm, and loving. Everyone, including animals, were drawn to him because of his caring demeanor. He shared a special connection with his departed rescue dog Sitka and granddog Lu. A celebration of Mike’s life will be held July 3 at the Clubhouse in Bridgehaven 6001 Oakbridge Way, Milford, OH 45150. The family will receive visitors from 3-7.
