William C. Smith

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of William C. Smith on February 27, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on January 31, 1940, in Cincinnati, OH, to the late Charles W. and Anna Marie (nee Craycraft) Smith.

Bill was a respected operations manager for Norton Outdoor Advertising, where he was known for his integrity, hard work, and the strong bonds he formed with his coworkers. Bill was known for his love of life and adventure. He enjoyed playing cards, visiting the casino, bowling, and golfing, where he found joy and companionship.

Bill was a devoted family man, and his wife, six daughters, and grandchildren held a special place in his heart. His family was his world, and they shared countless treasured moments together. Sunday family meals were a cherished tradition, alongside joyful camping trips and unforgettable vacations to Gatlinburg, South Carolina, and Las Vegas. Known affectionately by his friends and family as "Oink"-a nickname inspired by his unique collection of pig memorabilia-Bill's playful spirit and sense of humor brought laughter and warmth into every gathering. He loved to tease and joke with his children and grandchildren, creating an atmosphere of love and joy that will be missed deeply.

Bill was the devoted husband of 45 years to the late Delores R. Smith (nee Rowen); Loving father of Debbie (Mike) Umney, Sherry (Joe) Landock, Becky (Dennis) Hodges, Kim (Rob) Gerike, Pam (late Scott) Light, and Shelly Hughes; Grandpa of 20; Great-grandpa of 37, and great-great-grandpa of 1. Bill is also survived by many dear friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Evans Funeral Home - Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following morning on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton- 5890 Buckwheat Road, Milford, OH 45150. Burial will follow at Graceland Memorial Gardens.
