Mary Lou (née Painter) Fleshman , age 91, passed peacefully and received her Mansion in Glory on July 9, 2019. She was born on April 5, 1928, in Spring Creek, West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her father, Homer Brown Painter, mother, Josie ( née Snooks ) Painter, loving husband, James Ebert Fleshman, four brothers, and one sister. Mary Lou is survived by her sister, Dorothy May Hipes. She was the loving mother of six children: Linda Lou Stevens, Sue Ellen Sanders, Jimmy Dale Fleshman, Mark Leslie Fleshman, Jeffrey Dee Fleshman, and Mel Louise Jenkins. She was the proud grandmother of fifteen grandchildren and Thirty great grandchildren.
Mary Lou loved the Lord Jesus Christ, and her church family. She greatly loved her family and placed their needs above her own. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, crafts, fishing, and serving others. She earned her degree in Cosmetology and served in the Durham County Public School system in Durham, North Carolina.
Mary Lou will be affectionately remembered and deeply missed by family and friends. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral services. Loved ones may honor Mary Lou's memory by making a donation to their local church or favorite charity.
